Don't need 30 bottles of wine, half batches are also available consisting of 14 bottles with the labels, wraps, and a party included.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Don't have a favorite from the Winery at Main Street yet ? Not a problem, come in and try our complimentary tastings of a white wine, red wine, and fruit wine to get a general idea of what interest your palate.
From there talk to our staff who will be able to find what wine will suit your needs. Eight ounce tasters and four ounce tasters are available to purchase if you want to venture from the complimentary tastings to pin point that wine that tickles your taste buds!
Once you've picked out the wine for your batch, we will let you know if that grape juice is in stock. If so, we can set up an appointment for you to come in, sprinkle the yeast on your batch to start its fermentation and set it on its way to becoming a wine. Or if your on a tight schedule we can have Justin, our winemaker, take care of this for you so your wine gets started as soon as possible!
If that wine is not in stock don't worry, we can simply place it on our next order and contact you when it has arrived to get the process started.
HOW LONG MUST I WAIT FROM HERE?
Your batch is started and now you cant wait for that bottling day! But how long will all of this take? Depending on the varietal, the process will take at most 8 weeks before your wine is ready for bottling. Excluding barrel aged red wines as this can add anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months additional time.
Our general rule of thumb for batch times are:
4-5 weeks for Fruit wines
6-7 weeks for White wines
7-8 weeks for Red wines
*Red wines will need 5 months to age in the bottle after bottling before they are ready to drink. So if you want them ready to drink for a special occasion you will want to plan 7 months ahead of time to allow that wine to develop.
Again if pressed on time and you need a red wine ready to drink a month or so after bottling, we do have some special options, you can meet with Justin to discuss these options, but as of now are limited to about three wines in this category.
ADOPTIONS:
Really pressed on time and want to give personalized bottles at that party coming up? Want to have a bottling party for a friend or loved one who's birthday is a month a way not two or three. Ask any one of our staff about wines we have available for adoption that have already started fermentation so you can still have a wine ready in time.
